the tedium of packing

We have rediscovered our collective loathing of packing after only one year!! As our life together becomes increasingly boxed up we ask ourselves these key questions:

1. Why don't they just make all books the same size?

2. Why do they make things such odd shapes?

3. Why is there never quite the proper sized box for said odd-shaped object?

4. Why is U.S. Customs so stupid? Who gives a flying fart about whether we bring a can of tuna into the States? Are we packing a bomb in it? Contrary to popular belief, neither Caitlin nor I is McGyver--just so we're clear.

5. When did we ever get so much stuff?

You guys had better become master packers soon, since 3 months of your life will be in relatively tiny backpacks! :P I don't know how you're doing it...the lack of regular laundry facilities would concern me ;)
