a very "Bingsley" Christmas!

The Binghams and the Kingsleys have been having a rockin' time together this holiday season. It has been great for us to have James and Hil out here--a real taste of home. They continually prove what incredibly 'A-1' people they are and we are going to miss them when they take off for Hil's parents' place tomorrow night and then back to Victoria next week. They came over for a big dinner shindig on Friday where the food and wine flowed freely and the stories and laughter were continuous. They returned the next night for tea and games, including an introduction to euchre for us and a 'boys vs. girls' game of Trivial Pursuit that ended in a hard fought, extremely close victory for the men that saw the girls stage the Comeback of the Century. James and Matt won the game courtesy of James' rally hood seen below:

Mr. Kingsley proved to be a real maverick and cards with every sneaky trick in the book up his sleeve:

We also had Christmas festivities/dinner with the entire clan and that was an EXPERIENCE if we have ever had one! It was by turns raucous, loud, hilarious, and then calm to end the evening. The highlight of the evening was Babs Kingley's new massage chair from her husband, James' father! Her reaction was slightly X-rated and thus won't be repeated here verbatim, but sufficed to say we were all laughing hard, though a bit uncomfortable as well!

Anyways, we would love to thank the Kingsleys for all their love and hospitality and for helping to make this such a special first Christmas for us. You all rock!

Happy Montreal-over-Leafs-victory Day! This happens so often, I don't know why we celebrate... But we're from Québec, we like to rub it in.
What we're really trying to say is that we like your blog. Keep it up, you're pretty entertaining.
Matt and Claudia!
